Applesauce?

There is an apple tree near the house, just on the other side of the kitchen garden.  The other side of the fence in Cow-land.  The cows enjoy the apple tree, Sarge the bull enjoys standing under it’s shade and eating the apples as they fall to the ground.

Crystal has been watching, waiting, testing the sometimes way-too-tart apples as they grew, awaiting the time when they were ripe. . .Now is that time!  She tasted one Friday, WOW, that was a good apple (she shared a bite with me).  She then harvested a dozen or so that have been on the kitchen counter a couple of days now.  For Sunday brunch she had made Joe’s Special including chard from the garden.  Next to it was a small blue Pyrex bowl with freshly made applesauce. . . Man was it good!  Yum!  So good that she didn’t think to take a pic for the blog.  That will have to wait until next time.
