Niagra Falls

Greer and I took a lush one-mile hike to Niagra Falls today… no, not THAT Niagra Falls, but the one that is off of the Nestucca River Back Country Byway.  The Byway is a “shortcut” to the coast; it sure takes a lot longer, but wow, it’s beautiful (even if a portion of it is a gravel road).  The hike is a little drive off of the scenic byway, and you truly feel as if you’re in the middle of nowhere.

At the end of a one-mile downward slope, we were rewarded with seeing two small waterfalls.  We also tasted some wild salmon berries that were tasty, before making the upward hike.2014-06-22_niagrafalls
