Heating Food on the Road

Greer’s brother gave us Magic Cook for Christmas, and we finally had the opportunity to try it out.  Magic Cook allows you to heat things by simply adding water to the heating packets (no fire).  We heated up beef stew we’d cooked at home and brought frozen with us on our road trip.  Once it was thawed, we followed the directions (which were so simplified that it was a bit confusing).  I guess we didn’t wait quite long enough for it to process (we were hungry!); the stew didn’t heat all the way through in 7 or so minutes.  However, it was still nice to have warmish home-cooked stew in the chilly weather on the road!
