I was waiting eagerly to try another recipe from Well Fed, the cookbook. Char Siu is Chinese BBQ Pork, which usually has a neon-red glow to it if you get it take-out. This recipe is completely Paleo, with coconut aminos used instead of soy sauce.
Verdict: it was heavenly. I think I took it out of the oven too early because I didn’t want it to burn, but next time I’ll wait until I get that burgundy color all over the outside. Yummy leftovers!
