Just when I think I’ve seen everything with the chickens, we get another surprise. A tiny, perfect egg! It was maybe 20% the size of a regular egg, and sitting in the nesting box with the others.
The humorous part was that our nephew was staying with us. He is fond of saying he’ll take a “tiny” bit of salad or other vegetable he doesn’t like to eat. He also detests eggs. So, we showed him the egg and said that the hens laid a “tiny” egg just for him! (He still wouldn’t eat it. Doesn’t know what he’s missing…)
