Paleo Thanksgiving

We had Greer’s mom and brother over for Thanksgiving this year, and the rule was that everything was going to be Paleo/Primal.  We’ve been eating and living that way for over a year now, and the results have been amazing.  I’ve lost 40 pounds, and Greer has lost over 60, but the best part is how much better we feel with no more carb crashes.  But I digress.  Here is the Thanksgiving menu:
  • turkey breast, rolled with herbs (Greer’s specialty)
  • cranberry orange sauce
  • mashed cauliflower
  • roasted brussels sprouts and winter squash with bacon
  • waldorf salad (courtesy of Greer’s mom)
  • wild boar stuffing/dressing (made with paleo bread that tasted like cake)
  • kale and carrot ginger salad
  • pear crisp with ice cream (our one cheat)
  • pumpkin custard
Unfortunately, I can’t link to the recipes because they were all inspired by many different ones found online and mish-mashed together.  So, just leave a comment if you want details for something!  We were definitely stuffed at the end of the meal.
